The hilariously vibrant monologist
Tanya Saracho accuses me (with love) of pushing product for the man. I can't help it! This is my very favourite drink!
Here's the scoop:
PROYECTO LATINA is Monday March 19th.
I couldn't be more excited, for three reasons...
Numero Uno: The featured artist is Silvia Rivera, a warm and funny writer who always makes me cry and laugh with her poems about city life. Numero Dos: We're launching a new something-something through Proyecto Latina - a chisme box! Slip us your secrets and vainas, all the little things you wish you could say out loud, and we'll do it for you. Numero Tres: Tianguis Books is also hosting a monthly book club and this month's feature is Days of Awe by Achy Obejas, a brilliant writer who makes my toes tingle.
We have an open call for work as park of Teatro Luna's collaboration with the Jane Adams Hull House Museum. Check it out.
Teatro Luna is performing at
Ball State University on March 29th and at the
University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign on April 19th.
Our new show, LUNATICAS, is opening soon! We're running June 2-July 15th at
Chicago Dramatists. If you've ever done something just a little bit crazy, this is the show for you!
And, of course, MACHOS opens on November 2nd. We're still looking for men to interview, so send an e-mail to coya@coyapaz.com if you're interested!
