Oh my gosh Amores, this Spring is so very very busy. Not only am I teaching three classes AND writing everyday (I cannot WAIT to be Dr. Paz), but there are all of these exciting events going on! I can't BELIEVE how exciting this Spring is! So, am I going to see you at one of these or what?

Exciting Event #1: VIVA LA LUNA!!!!! Teatro Luna's 2nd Annual Fundraiser @ BoxCo! We did this party for Valentine's Day last year, but this time we're celebrating Cinco de Mayo the way only TEATRO LUNA can... on May 3rd and with hilarious performances, a great DJ and lots and lots of FOOD Y SANGRIA. Exciting Event #2: FREE PERFORMING POETRY WORKSHOP @ HAROLD WASHINGTON LIBRARY
I'm teaching a FREE workshop as part of the Chicago Public Library's National Poetry Month Celebrations! April 26th @ 1:30.

Exciting Event #3: PROYECTO LATINA. April 21st at 7:30 PM. We're in a new location - RADIO ARTE - but still holding it down in Pilsen! For information, visit www.tianguis.biz.

Exciting Event #4: TEATRO LUNA'S SPRING TOUR! We've got both S-E-X-OH! and MACHOS touring at the same time. Here's where we'll be in the next few weeks:

Let's see... other things I'm excited about... The Race, Sex, Power Conference April 10-12 here in Chicago. I'm on two panels but mostly looking forward to hearing other people speak... QUEER IN COLOR at Columbia College on April 21st. It doesn't even conflict with PROYECTO LATINA because the show starts at 5. And I'm reading my solo BITTER OLE HAG at North Park University on April 18th, but I didn't list it as an exciting event because it isn't open to the public, just to select students.

MOST EXCITING OF ALL? SPRING!!!!! I've been shoe shopping and I've updated my lip gloss, so I'm READY! Me and my spring accessories will see YOU soon!
